Well, we’re off to a flying start this week, with 120 already inserted and clipped up.

Besides having to shuffle a few rails to fix some joint locations, it was a pretty straight forward effort.

A length of rail was cut in half and cascaded to elsewhere to get the joints a half length out of square.

By the day’s end, we were very happy with our efforts. We’ve got another 80 sleepers ready to replace tomorrow and Wednesday will probably be a intense digger day getting everything tidied and bundled up. Thursday will likely be a washout but the weather forecast will hopefully firm up closer.
Tomorrow’s crew will meet at Maldon 8am or out on site from 8.30am.
